希臘神話中路西法是晨星，即黎明前除月外在天空最明亮的星星亦是帶來打破曉之人的意思。在舊約聖經中·路西法本來是大天使，因為其傲慢而忘記自己是天使，並意圖如神同等。最後亦因其傲慢想推翻神，而違背神的罪而墮落到地上。路西法正確是傲慢罪惡的象徵。在代表神的十字架上，路西法高舉起代表黎明的明星摳棒。 但翻到後面的話，其翼像蝙蝠一樣的惡魔上面有歪曲的角。圍繞著，而背面被蛇緊握住一起。
