DEOPUZ Causeway Bay Media Day featuring Hong Kong fashion and silver jewellery

DEOPUZ Media Day: When Hong Kong Fashion Meets Silver

A New Chapter in Causeway Bay

Silver has always moved between different worlds.

From biker culture and music to tattoos, streetwear and contemporary fashion, it has never really belonged to just one scene.

That was the feeling behind DEOPUZ Media Day at the brand’s new flagship on Pak Sha Road, Causeway Bay.

Instead of a traditional launch, the day brought together people from Hong Kong’s fashion, media and creative circles to experience the new space, discover the jewellery and, more simply, spend some time around the culture that has always surrounded silver.

The event was also picked up across local fashion and lifestyle platforms, including #legend and SCMP Style, alongside social coverage from guests and creatives who joined throughout the day.

Silver in a Different Setting

DEOPUZ’s new Causeway Bay store brings together a selection of Japanese and American silver jewellery under one roof.

Bill Wall Leather, Deal Design, Mad Cult, Guardia, Sunshine Studio and Albatory  each bring something different to the space.

Some pieces are heavy and sculptural.

Others are quieter, built around small details and craftsmanship.

There are Gothic influences, American biker references, Japanese silver work, natural gemstones and 18K gold details.

They don't necessarily belong to the same category.

But they work together.

That contrast has always been part of DEOPUZ.

Rather than treating silver as something tied to a particular subculture, the idea is to see how it can move between different ways of dressing.

When Jewellery Becomes Part of the Outfit

A silver ring doesn't have to define an entire look.

Sometimes it is simply the detail that brings everything together.

A wallet chain against denim.

A heavy ring with tailoring.

A pendant worn with an oversized T-shirt.

A combination of silver and gold that changes depending on the rest of the outfit.

This is where contemporary jewellery becomes interesting. The same piece can look completely different depending on who wears it.

For DEOPUZ, silver is not separated from fashion. It is part of it.

Hong Kong Fashion, Through Different Perspectives

Throughout the Media Day, the store welcomed guests from different parts of Hong Kong's fashion and creative scene.

Coverage appeared through 一物 object a #legend and SCMP Style, with further moments captured through event Reels.

The day also brought together creatives including Darren TsangFionaWMC and Cathine Oy Chan.

Everyone brought their own way of wearing jewellery.

And that was perhaps the most interesting part.

There was no single way to style the pieces.

No fixed definition of what silver should look like.

Just different people making the jewellery their own.

Bill Wall Leather × DEOPUZ

double heart happy face

One of the pieces that attracted attention was the Bill Wall Leather × DEOPUZ Double Heart Happy Face.

Created exclusively for DEOPUZ, the design takes the familiar Happy Face and gives it a heart-shaped form, with a reversible Graffiti Heart detail.

The reverse carries a simple message:

Have A Nice Day.

A small phrase, but one that fits the piece.

Silver can be bold without always being serious.

Tanzanite Fang Crest Ring

The DEOPUZ × DEAL DESIGN Tanzanite Fang Crest Ring takes a different approach.

The design combines DEAL DESIGN's distinctive silver work with the deep blue-violet tone of natural Tanzanite.

Against the darker surface of oxidised silver, the stone becomes even more noticeable.

It has the presence of a traditional gemstone ring, but the attitude feels closer to collectible silver jewellery.

That mix of precious materials and stronger silver forms is something DEOPUZ continues to explore.

SWEET DAISY

Jewellery wasn't the only handmade element of the day.

Catering came from Sweet Daisy, the new boutique venture by Daisy Hung, the founder of Hong Kong dessert institution The Sweet Dynasty.

Known for her work in Hong Kong's dessert scene, Daisy has now started a new chapter with Sweet Daisy, focusing on her signature handmade mochi.

For the Media Day, the desserts brought a different kind of craftsmanship into the store.

At first, silver jewellery and handmade mochi might seem worlds apart.

But both are about details.

Shape.

Texture.

Finish.

And the difference that comes from making something by hand.

Sweet Daisy has also created a limited-edition dessert collection with Kowloon Shangri-La, continuing to explore a more contemporary side of Hong Kong dessert culture.

It felt right to have that alongside the jewellery.

Different materials, different disciplines, but a similar appreciation for making things properly.

Why Silver Stays

Fashion changes quickly.

Silver doesn't have to.

A jacket might belong to one season.

A good ring can stay with someone for years.

It gets scratched.

It oxidises.

It picks up marks.

Eventually, those changes become part of the piece.

That is one of the things that makes handcrafted silver jewellery different from something designed simply to follow a trend.

It changes with you.

And perhaps that is why silver continues to have a place in fashion, even as everything around it changes.

Wear Art, Not Trend.

That's still the idea behind DEOPUZ.

Not ignoring trends, but looking beyond them.

The best jewellery doesn't have to be replaced when the next trend arrives.

It becomes part of the person wearing it.

The new DEOPUZ Causeway Bay flagship is built around that idea — silver as craftsmanship, design and personal expression.
