MAD CULT

THIS IS A PROCESS TO THE DEATH

Banner Image

The brand was founded in 2005, focusing on elements from ROCK, HEAVY METAL, and MOTORCYCLE culture. Its design concept draws inspiration from the authentic emotions and inner self that arise when confronting desires, represented in the primal form of skulls. Additionally, the collection includes various products that incorporate skull culture alongside motifs like rabbits, snakes, and ouroboros.

In addition to its core offerings, the brand regularly produces one-off pieces, constantly exploring new designs and challenges. With the guiding principle of "Thank you for embracing our creative spirit," they craft original items in the Mad Cult style. Since 2009, the brand has been featured and recommended multiple times in the well-known Japanese fashion magazine, シルバーアクセサリー, for a decade.

The Evolution of Skull Culture

Skull culture originated after World War II when young American soldiers returned home. With thousands of Harley Davidsons released from military service, these veterans formed biker clubs and decorated their powerful motorcycles and riding gear with various skull motifs (such as Crossbones, Death's Head, and pirate flags) that represented their military units. This clever use of skull imagery seamlessly integrated its symbolism with the biker lifestyle.

Today, while skulls may symbolize death and fear for some—especially in Asia—within biker culture, they carry unique meanings of unwavering loyalty and commitment.

One of MAD CULT's standout features is the flexibility of its products, offering a variety of customization options. Customers can add gemstones or gold plating to existing designs, or even combine elements from different products. Additionally, MAD CULT supports clients in providing their own designs, which are then reinterpreted in the brand's distinctive style.
