The mosaic gemstone is made from multiple pieces of different Opal fragments, arranged in a mosaic and fixed onto an obsidian base. It is inspired by the flashy high-profile jewelry popular in Hong Kong during the 70s and 80s, and mosaic Opal was very popular at that time! Many mosaic Opals were even produced in Hong Kong, and this particular batch was originally brought to the United States from Hong Kong and has now been brought back.
